Further interviews from An Oral History of British Science have been added to the Archival Sound Recordings (ASR) website under the Oral history of British science package. From the Made in Britain strand, life story interviews with computer programmers Mary Coombs and Frank Land, and aeronatutical engineer Raymond Wheeler are now available, as well as a short interview with physicist and metallurgist Sir Alan Cottrell. From A Changing Planet strand, interviews with Professor Richard West (Botanist and Quaternary Geologist) and geophysicist Dr Joseph Farman are now also available online (from the catalogue entries click on the 'Listen at Archival Sound Recordings' links). As well as browsing interviews by named interviewee you are now able to browse the interviews by subject.
The interviews made available via the ASR website are only a proportion of the interviews either complete or 'in-progress' for an Oral History of British Science; up to date information about the interview undertaken for the project can be found by searching the British Library's Sound Archive catalogue and searching with the reference C1379.
