We were saddened to learn of Harold Pinter's death from cancer on 24 December 2008.
Harold was a formidable and generous champion of the Library and its work, and the British Library was immensely proud to have added the Pinter archive to our Manuscript Collections in 2007. Our sympathies and thoughts are with Lady Antonia and his family.
On 8 September 2008, Harold shared his memories of postwar British theatre before a live audience at the British Library. This event is available as a podcast.
